It’s a car-plane-car-ferry-car situation to travel from Sydney to Kangaroo Island. Unswayed by the challenge with a baby-in-tow, we elect to break up the commute across two days and overnight in South Australia’s capital, Adelaide (or ‘Radelaide’ per the locals), on our way to our final destination.
We arrive early afternoon. After dropping our bags and travel cot (we bring our own in an effort to present a familiar bed to Miss 10 Months) at the Inn, we explore Adelaide’s Central Market to curate a dinner plate of goodies for the three of us to dine on that evening that doesn’t require cutlery or any kitchen equipment. The market is a visual feast for the baby who’s strapped into her favoured baby carrier and a culinary adventure for her parents (that’s us; the ones with eyes larger than their stomachs).
We succeed. It’s continental meats, cheese, fruit and a local red. Rad.
